The floor in my home is littered with dictionaries that I have read from cover to cover, trying to find the words that will bring you back.
In my quest to reach your heart I’ve read about every word in the English language, from aardvark to Zyzzyva, but I have yet to find anything useful that I haven’t already told you.
I remember reading about “persistent,” which is described as “continuing firmly or obstinately in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.” “Relentless” means “continuing in a severe or extreme way.” They say “vehement” means “in a forceful, passionate, or intense manner; with great feeling.” “Unrelenting” is someone who is “not yielding in strength, severity, or determination.” There are a lot of words that describe me in my pursuit, but none that can help my efforts bear any fruit.
Alas, I continue my search for the secret words that will bring you back, because I am “pledged or bound to a certain course or policy”. Committed. I am “admirably purposeful, determined, and unwavering.” Resolute.
